"God's Praise means people of God declaring His greatness through praise and worship. Before the official name of God's Praise was given, other names for the ministry floated through my mind-"The Heavenly Dancers" and "The Hallelujah Dancers". But, God said no, that is not the name I want this ministry to be called. This ministry is more than just a dance ministry, it is a ministry of the creative arts. In 1999, God spoke through a family member and said the name of the ministry should be called God's Praise. Although, God's Praise began with a solo dancer (me), today, it is a ministry with many gifted and anointed people whose desire is to praise and worship God with all their hearts through their creative fine arts."

"It is of the utmost gratitude and devotion that we as believers are given the privilege to serve as instruments of praise for His pleasure. Our very beings have been entrusted to glorify His greatness and be witnesses of His all encompassing excellence. Truly this is indeed an honor"

"Discovered a love for writing poetry at age 7, and after attending a christian dance workshop in Houston, TX in August 2001 with God's Praise founder, decided to commit my talent to honoring and worshipping God, and for the purpose of witnessing Christ to others."

"I was yearning to find someone to teach me movement. I began asking around and my sister told me about Pat who was a dance leader at their church. She informed me that she had a ministry called “God’s Praise” that teaches movement to individuals. I came to one of the classes and knew that was where I needed to be to receive my training."

"I was introduced to praise dance by my Aunt Shelia when I was in grammar school. A few years later, my grandmother asked Patricia to mentor me in dancing for the Lord. It has been a blessing to me. Being a part of God’s Praise Ministry has provided me spiritual growth, assurance of my calling, and boldness in my witness for Christ."

"Somewhere around 1998 and 1999 I was stirred up to find a dance class for women; I couldn't find one but one day I was invited to a women's conference by a friend of mine and they had a dancer, Patricia Cook (founder of God's Praise) dancing on stage. I saw her do one move and the Lord quickened me to hook up with her. I went through a trial period with God's Praise as protege' and it didn't take long before I was asked to join. Pat presented the question to me and told me to pray about it but I told her there was no need to pray I already knew this is where I was suppose to be. Now over 10years later God's Praise Ministry is still going strong and growing. We have an unusal relationship and it gets better every year. Since starting with God's Praise I have started my own dance team called Spirited Praise. I still call Pat for advice because she is an awesome leader and I want to at the least be as good as she is."

"In 1999, I witnessed two beautiful ladies dance under such an anointing of God that it re-energized the love for dance that I thought had been laid to rest. I was extended an invitation to join the ministry and gladly accepted; after many months of intense training (both physical and spiritual) I began ministering in dance with God's Praise in 2000. Since 1999, the Lord has stirred up many other gifts that were once used for simple entertainment but has now been transformed to glorify HIM. Though I still love the art of dancing, my focus is now on ministering to the Body of Christ through drama and being His mouthpiece."
